ARTWALK: SECONDHAND MUTT REUNION
We will be hosting our first of the summer ArtWalk event on Friday, July 11th. Bring your dog and have some fun on a Friday night at TMH. We will be inviting our over 2 dozen Secondhand Mutts to come back to TMH for an evening of socialization and good times. If you have adopted a dog from us please let us know if you plan to attend. Donations for Secondhand Mutts will be taken at the door.
EVENT TIME: 7:30 PM 9:30 PM
If you are thinking of adding a dog to your home this could be a great way to meet a mutt that needs shelter. We can't promise the current mutts available will be here in July (we hope not).
Owners are required to stay with their dogs during the event. If you put your dog in daycare for a full day on Friday, July 11th you may opt to keep your dog supervised by TMH staff until 9 PM for an additional donation of $10 per dog. MUTT-WASH FUNDRAISER: BENEFITS SHAR PEI SAVERS
Save the date! On Saturday, July 26 TMH will be hosting a Mutt-Wash to benefit Shar Pei Savers from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m
Wash and Towel Dry: $10 donation
Wash and Towel Dry w/nail trim: $15 donation
Dogs will be washed on a first come/first served basis. Please be patient as there may be a line. Dogs enrolled to TMH are welcome to stay and play and get picked up at 12:30 PM. In the past we have found being an early bird does help as most people show up during the last hour. If you would like to volunteer for this event please contact Rebecca Jackson . If you can't volunteer washing/drying dogs we will gladly accept towel or dog soap donations, you may drop those off at TMH anytime between now and August 16th. |

SANCTUARY FOR SENIOR DOGS SUMMER SCOOP 2008
Join us for an afternoon of fun featuring the Old Dog Olympics, an agility course just for old dogs; a tracking demonstration by an active senior search and rescue dog; contests for old dogs and their friends; group and individual photo's; great raffle prizes; good food; vendors providing goods and services for old dogs; guest appearances by local celebrities, including Eileen McShea of WKYC's Good Company, and of course, lots of old dogs to enjoy the day.

RESCUE RAVE: THE DOG-GONE-HOME-SHOW
Join The Mutt Hutt and Hand In Paw Real World Training for the first-ever Rescue Rave event held this fall at Clark Field. We will be hosting a unique "dog show" event next to the dog park from Noon to 5 PM to raise awareness for shelter dogs and shelters. Contests for your dogs to enter a "dog show" will be part of the afternoon activities along with a family friendly kid parade from the City of Cleveland Kennel to the event site. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Project Noah, The Sanctuary for Senior Dogs and The Friends of the Cleveland Kennel. More information is coming soon!

Oberlin Doggie Doo
The fourth annual Oberlin Doggie Doo & Pooch Parade is scheduled for Saturday, September 20, 2008. This event is sponsored by the Oberlin Area Chamber of Commerce. The purpose of the Doggie Doo is to raise funds for local animal shelters, increase awareness of the plight of homeless dogs, and get people interested in adopting one of the many dogs available. Many dog rescue groups and local animal shelters will be on site with adoptable dogs for people to see, and hopefully, adopt! All events are held, rain or shine, on Tappan Square in Oberlin, Ohio.
