Daytime Socialization
The Mutt Hutt is a year-round indoor and outdoor facility with a focus on supervised, safe and enriching dog socialization. We provide a structured and social atmosphere for dogs of all ages, sizes and breeds. We understand dogs and their need to exercise and socialize. Play and socialization with other dogs and humans keeps a dog’s mind active and helps it remain mentally fit. Boredom and lack of an exercise routine may lead to destructive behaviors at home such as chewing, digging or barking, and can adversely affect a dog’s willingness to obey commands. Our role in your dog's life is to make sure they are having the best experience socializing and exercising.
Dogs visiting must have a reservation booked in advance. Standing reservations are highly recommended.
During the visit your dog can expect lots of leash-free socialization and attention filled with interaction and play with other dogs of all sizes and energy levels as well as necessary rest time when needed. We provide a healthy, fun and nurturing environment for your dog while in our care. Our focus is on constructive, rather than destructive, dog behavior. Our staff is dedicated to ensuring that your dog is well-cared for at all times and treated like one of our own dogs in our homes.

We offer full (up to 12.5-hours) and half (up to 6-hours) days of daycare. Not only do we manage how many dogs we have at our facility each day, we manage the pack and the personalities of dogs who are attending each day. We do not provide or accommodate owner-provided lunches unless there is a medical or other need that has been discussed with us ahead of time. Not every dog will eat a lunch as there are many distractions and four-legged friends keeping them from wanting to devour the food bowl. Please be sure to feed your dogs a bigger breakfast the morning they are coming to play or increase their dinner when they come home from daycare.
Although we are "cage free" for safety there are, of course, a few kennels set up within the facility which are used for dogs who need a break from play, dogs who enjoy having alone time and for safety. The interior playroom space is approximately 2,500 square feet with concrete floors and overhead radiant heaters. The outside yard is approximately 7,500 square feet with smooth pea gravel, shade trees, umbrellas, dog houses and seasonal play equipment including sprinklers, and small and large wading pools. We use above ground cot-style beds to keep your dogs comfortable year round. In the winter months we provide a dog sweater to those who need of an extra layer of warmth.
For humans expecting tiny humans we offer new parents commuting with babies “Baby on Board” service which give you peace of mind having help from one of our dog handlers assisting with getting your dog into our facility or back to your car at the end of the day.
